Adani Gangavaram Port improves infrastructure
The country's deepest and most advanced port, Adani Gangavaram Port, has stated that it has upgraded its infrastructure by bringing in new cargo handling machinery.
The action is a component of Adani Gangavaram Port's strategic investment strategy, which aims to increase the port's capacity and productivity.
Two brand-new Grabs with a 46 CBM capacity each and two brand-new Cargo Hoppers with a 60 MT capacity each are among the cargo handling equipment.
The new equipment will increase port capacity to handle goods with efficiency and result in quicker turnaround times, with a capital outlay of INR 6 crore.
AGPL has already inducted new Railway Locomotives, new Warehousing, Road & Railway infrastructure with investment of 45 crore in this financial Year.
The railway facilities will allow direct handling the entire rake at the warehouse and storage without any inter-carting.
Apart from this AGPL is currently investing in an Integrated Warehouse intended to provide state-of- the art handling and storage facilities for agri and fertilizer cargoes at an estimated investment of over 275 crore which is all likely to be operational in 2024.
