Adani Group to build India’s largest grid-scale battery storage system
Adani Green Energy Ltd is set to construct India’s largest battery energy-storage system, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in renewable-energy integration.
The facility aims to provide large-scale grid balancing for intermittent solar and wind generation, a critical challenge as India accelerates toward its 2030 target of 500 GW of non-fossil capacity.
With battery storage gaining global attention amid declining lithium-ion prices, Adani’s move positions it to capture early advantages in India’s nascent but high-potential energy-storage market, which is expected to exceed 200 GWh by 2032.
