Aksharchem India commissions expanded Precipitated Silica facility
Aksharchem India Ltd has successfully commissioned an expanded facility for Precipitated Silica at its plant in Dahej, Gujarat.
With this addition, Aksharchem India's cumulative precipitated silica capacity has now reached 18,000 TPA (tonnes per annum). The expansion involved an additional 6,000 TPA capacity.
The manufacturing operations for the expanded unit became effective from June 24, 2025, following regulatory approval received on June 30, 2025.
This expansion is a crucial step for Aksharchem to scale up its operational capacity. It will enable the company to better meet the increasing market demand for precipitated silica, particularly from the tyre and rubber industries, which are major consumers of this product.
The company expects this expansion to strengthen its competitive edge by offering an expanded size range and a broader selection of products. It is also anticipated to provide unique synergies and improved access to essential raw materials, leading to more cost-effective production.
