Andhra Pradesh moves to PPP Model to fast-track industrial parks
The Andhra Pradesh government has adopted a public-private partnership (PPP) route to develop a network of industrial parks, tasking the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) with rolling out ready-to-use facilities for MSMEs and larger enterprises.
The plan envisions 75 MSME parks and 25 major industrial clusters by 2030, with a sector focus that ranges from food processing and life sciences to semiconductors, defence and aerospace.
Specialised parks for partner countries — including Japan and South Korea — are also in the mandate, indicating a push to attract targeted FDI and technology transfer.
State officials expect the PPP framework to speed delivery, ensure professional park management and offer single-window clearances to tenants.
The move positions Andhra Pradesh to compete more aggressively for manufacturing and export-oriented investment.
