Andhra Pradesh partners with A.P. Moller-Maersk

Andhra Pradesh has signed an MoU with APM Terminals, a subsidiary of global shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk.
The agreement involves a planned investment of ₹9,000 crore to develop and modernize the Ramayapatnam, Machilipatnam, and Mulapeta ports. This collaboration will see the establishment of modern terminals and advanced cargo handling systems, creating an estimated 10,000 direct jobs.
The initiative aims to position Andhra Pradesh as the "Eastern Gateway" for maritime trade by creating an integrated logistics ecosystem that connects road, rail, air, and inland waterways, servicing neighboring landlocked states like Telangana and Chhattisgarh.
