Ashoka Buildcon secures LOA for Rs 539 Crore Railway Electrification Project
Ashoka Buildcon Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the North Western Railway for a major electrification upgrade project in Rajasthan.
The contract involves the upgradation of the existing traction system from 1 × 25 kV to 2 × 25 kV, along with the modification of overhead equipment (OHE) to support train speeds of up to 160 km/h across sections of the Ajmer Division.
The project, awarded by the President of India acting through the Chief Electrical Engineer (Projects), North Western Railway, Jaipur, is valued at approximately ₹539 crore including GST.
It covers design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced traction infrastructure, marking a significant step in modernising India’s railway electrification network.
