BEML wins Rs 1,888 crore ICF contract for LHB Coaches

BEML Limited, a public sector undertaking, has bagged a significant contract worth Rs 1,888 crore from Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai.
The contract is for the supply, manufacturing, and commissioning of 600 LHB (Linke-Hofmann-Busch) coaches.
These modern passenger coaches are a key part of Indian Railways' ongoing modernization drive to replace older rolling stock.
The LHB coaches, known for their lightweight stainless-steel bodies and advanced safety features, are expected to be delivered within 15 months, contributing to safer and more comfortable train travel.
