Bengaluru to build longest double-decker flyover for metro phase 3

Infrastructure Sep 06,2025

The Karnataka state cabinet has approved a Rs 9,700 crore project to build the city's longest double-decker flyover.

The 37.12-km flyover is a key component of Namma Metro's Phase 3. The metro line will be stacked on top of the flyover, similar to the existing model from Ragigudda to Silk Board.

The project will be constructed along two metro corridors: the first, a 28.486-km flyover from JP Nagar 4th Phase to Kempapura, and the second, an 8.635-km flyover from Hosahalli to Kadabagere.

This ambitious project aims to significantly alleviate traffic congestion in the city.
