Bids invited for doubling of rail line on Rewari-Kathuwas section

The Jaipur Division's Rewari to Kathuwas stretch of the railway line would be doubled, according to a North Western Railway tender.
The doubling work includes all civil engineering tasks, including earthmoving, blanketing, side drains, major bridges and viaducts, minor bridges, RUBs, and other tasks, as well as all signalling and telecommunication tasks, including automatic block signalling work and high-rise OHE (2x25kV) electrification tasks that span a distance of 27.45 km from Rewari (excluding) (ch 1350) to Kathuwas (including) (ch 28800).
The contract is expected to cost Rs 250.18 crore, and it would take 23 months to complete. The last date for bid submission is 17 August, 2023.
