Bihar embraces green energy with Avaada group's Rs 5,000 crore investment
Bihar is taking a significant stride towards a sustainable future as the Avaada Group has formally committed a substantial investment of Rs 5,000 crore to develop 1 gigawatt of renewable energy projects across the state.
This landmark Memorandum of Understanding marks a pivotal moment for Bihar's green energy ambitions, encompassing a diverse portfolio of ground-mounted solar, floating solar, community solar plants, and even battery storage solutions.
The state government has pledged its full support, promising to facilitate the necessary approvals and clearances to ensure these projects come to fruition.
This initiative is expected to not only boost Bihar's energy independence but also create significant employment opportunities, attracting allied industries and fostering a more environmentally conscious socio-economic landscape.
The first phase of these projects is anticipated to begin production within two years of finalizing power purchase agreements and securing land or water bodies.
