Bihar's commitment to a greener energy future has been underscored by the signing of Memorandums of Understanding worth over Rs 5,000 crore, aimed at developing 2,357 MW of green power across the state.

These agreements, formalized during the launch of Bihar's new policies for renewable energy and pumped storage projects, signify a concerted effort to attract significant private investment into the sector.

Among the key collaborations, the Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited (BSPGCL) has partnered with L&T for a battery energy storage project and with NTPC Green for a large-scale battery energy storage system.

Additionally, the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) has joined forces with Avaada Group and SECI Ltd to bring in substantial solar and other renewable energy projects.

This comprehensive approach is set to not only meet Bihar's growing energy demands sustainably but also contribute significantly to India's broader clean energy goals.
