Centre approves Rs 4,000 crore for Sahebganj-Areraj-Bettiah NH 139W in Bihar
The Central government has cleared a Rs 4,000-crore project for the construction of the Sahebganj-Areraj-Bettiah section of National Highway 139W in Bihar.
This approval was granted by the central Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC).
This section is a part of the broader Patna-Bettiah highway upgrade under NH 139W. The Sahebganj-Areraj-Bettiah stretch will be an approximately 89-kilometer long high-speed corridor.
The project, estimated at Rs 4,000 crore, will be built on a Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) basis and will be overseen by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Construction is expected to be completed within 24 months of commencement.
