DLF, Medanta to develop 400-bed multi-specialty hospital in Delhi
A 400-bed multi-specialty hospital will be built in the nation's capital thanks to a partnership between Global Health Ltd. (Medanta) and the real estate powerhouse DLF, it was revealed.
The new joint venture will be an equal partnership between the two businesses.
A major private multi-specialty tertiary care provider called Global Health Ltd. and DLF have "entered into an understanding for forming a company to launch a 400-bed multi-super specialty hospital to provide the highest quality of healthcare in the heart of Delhi in Greater Kailash-I."
In the new business, DLF and Medanta will each own a 50/50 equity stake.
While Medanta will administer the hospital and have operational responsibility, DLF will serve as a strategic investor.
DLF Chairman Rajiv Singh said, "We are excited to participate in setting up a world class hospital in South Delhi at a location which is closely associated with the origins of our company."
