Gujarat Gas & Waaree Energy sign deal in boost for India's Lithium-Ion battery drive

Gujarat Gas (GGL) has entered into a gas sales agreement with Waaree Energy.
The partnership will see Gujarat Gas supply 50,000 standard cubic meters per day of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to Waaree Energy's new lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility in Valsad, Gujarat.
The plant, currently under construction, is a key component of Waaree's renewable energy strategy and is expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26.
This collaboration not only secures a stable and cleaner fuel source for the manufacturing process but also aligns with national goals of reducing India's dependence on lithium-ion battery imports and promoting environmental sustainability.
