HURL to set up nano-urea plant in Sindri
The Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL) is all set to meet the urea requirement of county and make country self reliant in urea production by 2025 , according to SP Mohanti chairman of HURL.
Talking to media at the Sindri based plant of the organisation on he said that all three plants of HURL including Sindri Barauni and Gorakhpur have produced 32 lakh tones of urea since came into operation after being revived.
Focusing on the Sindri plant, he said that out of the installed capacity of 12.70 lakh tonnes of urea production per year it till now has produced 11.50 lakh tonnes of neam quotes.
The three units have earned a profit of Rs 1000 crore out of turnover of Rs 12,000 crore. The profit is likely to go upto Rs 1500 crore by end of the current financial year that will end on March 31.
Mohanti said the Sindri plant is the most energy efficient plant with utilisation of 4.9 g. Cal liter of natural gas. It is working at 106 per cent capacity utilisation.
He said, company is preparing for nano urea and gold (sulphur coated) urea production at the Sindri plant.. If all goes well, construction of the Nano urea plant would commence very soon and it will cost Rs 200 crore.
As far as gold coated urea HURL is on the way to procure technology from Rashtriya Chemical and Fertilizer .
