Hyundai starts engine production at Talegaon facility ahead of full operations
Hyundai Motor India has announced that it has begun making engines for passenger cars at its Talegaon plant in Pune. The company plans to start making cars at this factory in the third quarter of the financial year 2026.
Hyundai currently sells models in India like the Grand i10 Nios, i20, i20 N Line, Aura, Verna, Exter, Venue, Venue N Line, Creta, Creta N Line, Alcazar, Tucson, Creta Electric (EV), and Ioniq 5 (EV).
In an official document, Hyundai stated that it has successfully started producing passenger vehicle engines at its "Talegaon plant" in Pune, Maharashtra, as of June 16, 2025.
The company added that they will announce separately when they start making passenger vehicles at the Talegaon plant.
