Jindal Stainless unveils first stainless steel fabrication unit in Maharashtra
Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, has inaugurated its first stainless steel fabrication facility at Washivali, near Patalganga in Maharashtra, with an investment of Rs 125 crore.
The 4-lakh-sq-ft facility will initially produce around 4,000 tonnes of fabricated components annually, with capacity planned to scale up to 18,000 tonnes by FY27.
The unit will cater to infrastructure, bridges, and urban development projects, offering custom-built stainless steel structural solutions.
The move marks JSL’s entry into value-added fabrication, allowing it to offer turnkey steel solutions instead of just raw material supply.
This vertical integration strategy is expected to strengthen the company’s position in India’s growing infrastructure and construction market.
