Karnataka plans 300-acre defence and avionics parks
The Karnataka government is planning to develop two defence and avionics parks spanning 300 acres, Industries Minister M B Patil said.
The proposed parks aim to strengthen aerospace and defence manufacturing in the state.
The facilities will cater to avionics systems, defence components, and allied technologies.
Patil stated that Karnataka intends to consolidate its position as a national aerospace hub through dedicated infrastructure.
The project will be developed in coordination with industry stakeholders and defence manufacturers. Land identification and infrastructure planning are currently underway.
