Kerala CM to lay foundation stone for new building of district hospital at Vadakara
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will lay the foundation stone for a new building at the Government District Hospital in Vadakara, Kerala, on Saturday, April 12. The six-storey structure will span approximately 14,329 SqM, and will include six operation theatres.
The upcoming facility will also offer male and female wards with a total of 123 beds. Additionally, there will be isolation wards, a 22-bed surgical intensive care unit, and a 14-bed post-operation ward.
Furthermore, the building at the District hospital will house a 25-bed emergency ward, ensuring immediate care. It will also provide parking space for over 290 vehicles, both in the basement and outside.
Alongside, the district hospital will feature a waiting room and a spacious pharmacy with storage.
Moreover, 24 outpatient rooms will operate under one roof. A lab and radiology department will function efficiently to support diagnostics, and a dedicated blood bank unit will serve critical needs.
