L&T begins work on 40 MW AI-ready data centre in Navi Mumbai
Larsen & Toubro has started construction of a 40 MW AI-ready data centre in Navi Mumbai, marking a major push into high-end digital infrastructure execution.
The facility is being designed specifically for AI, machine learning, and high-density compute workloads that require advanced cooling and power redundancy.
Unlike conventional data centres, the project is focused on next-generation requirements from hyperscalers and large enterprise clients.
Navi Mumbai’s strong connectivity, power availability, and growing data centre ecosystem have made it a preferred location for such investments.
The project reflects rising demand for domestic AI compute capacity as cloud adoption and data localisation accelerate in India.
