Maharashtra signs MoUs worth Rs. 23,800 crore for water infrastructure projects

The Maharashtra government has signed memoranda of understanding worth Rs. 23,800 crore to accelerate water infrastructure development across the state. 

The projects focus on irrigation networks, drinking water supply systems, and long-term water security solutions, particularly in drought-prone regions. 

These investments are aimed at addressing structural water shortages and improving agricultural resilience. 

The initiative is expected to enhance farm productivity and support rural livelihoods.

It also reflects the state’s emphasis on climate-resilient infrastructure and sustainable water management practices.
