Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 29 National Highway projects in Andhra Pradesh.

These projects, covering a total length of 272 km and valued at over Rs 5,233 crore, are designed to significantly improve connectivity and infrastructure across the state.

The initiatives are part of a broader vision to enhance road safety, reduce logistics costs, and strengthen last-mile connectivity. Key projects include the transformation of the Madanapalle to Pileru stretch of NH-71 into a modern 4-lane corridor and the upgrade of the Kurnool to Mandlem section of NH-340C.

These infrastructure developments are expected to improve access to religious and tourist destinations, as well as crucial economic hubs, contributing to overall economic growth and job creation.
