NHAI Greenfield corridor faces further delay; Expressway to open by November
The ambitious Greenfield Corridor Expressway, a crucial infrastructure project being developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), has once again faced delays and is now expected to open by November 2025.
The project, which aims to provide seamless high-speed connectivity between key industrial and agricultural zones, was initially slated for completion in August this year.
However, challenges related to land acquisition, utility shifting, and weather disruptions have extended the timeline.
Officials from NHAI stated that construction work is in its final phase, with finishing touches and safety checks underway.
Once operational, the corridor is expected to significantly reduce travel time and logistics costs while boosting industrial growth along its route.
Despite repeated delays, the project remains a cornerstone of India’s infrastructure expansion under the Bharatmala Pariyojana programme.
