NHPC floats tender for E&M works at 260 MW Dulhasti Stage-II project
NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower generation company, has issued an invitation for bids for the electro-mechanical (E&M) works package for its ambitious 260 MW (2x130 MW) Dulhasti Stage-II Hydro Electric Project.
The project is located in the Kishtwar district of Jammu & Kashmir, a region crucial for India's hydroelectric potential.
The estimated contract value for these vital E&M works, under Lot-2A, is approximately Rs 337.08 crore. It's important to note that this specific tender package will exclude GSU (Generator Step-Up Units), GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear), XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene cables), and Switchyard Equipment, which are likely to be tendered separately.
The Dulhasti Stage-II project is a significant step in NHPC's strategy to enhance hydroelectric capacity in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
It is expected to contribute substantially to regional development by generating clean energy, fostering job creation, and improving local infrastructure.
