Prime Minister to lay foundation for Rs. 22,864 crore high-speed corridor
The Prime Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for a Rs. 22,864 crore high-speed corridor in Assam in March.
The corridor will enhance connectivity across key districts in the state. It is designed to improve freight and passenger transport efficiency.
The project forms part of broader infrastructure development in the Northeast.
The corridor will include multiple interchanges and access-controlled stretches. It is expected to reduce travel time across the proposed route.
Construction will begin following the formal foundation ceremony.
