Pune's Key Katraj-Kondhwa bypass on track for June 2026 completion
Pune's municipal commissioner has assured that the long-delayed Katraj-Kondhwa bypass road will be completed by June 2026.
The project, which was first initiated in 2017, has faced significant delays, primarily due to land acquisition issues.
To expedite the work, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has sanctioned Rs 270 crore for land acquisition and has revised the road's width to 50 meters from the original 84 meters.
The bypass is a critical infrastructure project aimed at easing severe traffic congestion in the area, providing much-needed relief to thousands of daily commuters.
