Re Sustainability establishes Rs 220 crore integrated waste management project in MP

Re Sustainability Limited, an integrated waste management player has announced the opening of its regional integrated solid waste management (ISWM) facility with a 6MW waste-to-energy (W2E) plant at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh at an investment of Rs 220 crore.

The Hyderabad headquartered company said the ISWM facility will have a capacity to efficiently segregate, process and manage 600 metric tonnes of waste on a daily basis.

It will cater to the waste management requirements of around 2.35 lakh households in Rewa, Satna, and Sidhi districts, comprising a total of 28 urban local bodies (ULBs). These ULBs include 12 each from Rewa and Satna districts and 4 from Sidhi district.

The build, own, operate (BOO) project is being taken up in a public private partnership mode with the Nagar Palika Nigam in Rewa as the nodal ULB and govt providing a capital grant of Rs 87 crore.
