Runaya and Eckart set up India’s first gas-atomised aluminium powder facility

Manufacturing Jan 08,2026

Runaya and Eckart have established India’s first dedicated facility for gas-atomised aluminium powders, marking a significant step in advanced materials manufacturing.

The plant will serve high-precision sectors such as additive manufacturing, aerospace, defence, and electric mobility, where material consistency and particle uniformity are critical.

By localising production, the facility reduces India’s dependence on imported specialty powders and shortens supply chains for domestic manufacturers.

The project also aligns with the government’s Make in India push and the growing demand for lightweight, high-performance materials across industrial applications.
