Sarla Aviation to build Rs. 1,300 crore eVTOL manufacturing campus in Andhra Pradesh

Sarla Aviation plans to invest Rs. 1,300 crore in a 500-acre “Sky Factory” in Andhra Pradesh to design and manufacture electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The campus will feature a two-kilometre runway, VTOL test pads, a wind tunnel and R&D labs for composites, flight control systems, powertrains and wiring systems.
The company aims to scale up to produce 1,000 eVTOL units annually by 2029, targeting air-taxi operations and regional mobility.
The project is also expected to create thousands of high-skilled jobs, boosting the state’s aerospace ecosystem and contributing to India’s ambition in advanced aviation manufacturing.
