Selan Exploration Technology starts production from Mukkamala Field
Selan Exploration Technology has announced that it has begun producing natural gas from its Mukkamala Contract Area. This field is located in the onshore Krishna-Godavari (KG) Basin, marking Selan's first venture outside its main operating area in the Cambay Basin.
This development follows the successful merger with Selan Energy, which was approved in June 2025.
Selan holds a full 100% ownership in the Dangeru Contract Area, where the Mukkamala field is located.
Gas from the Mukkamala field is already being sold, connected to ONGC's processing plant in Pasarlapudi and transported through GAIL's existing pipeline network.
This step is part of Selan's strategy to expand its gas production and growth in the upstream energy sector.
