South Western Railway issues tender for new BG line in Tumakuru-Rayadurga project

South Western Railway (SWR) has floated an EPC tender worth Rs 611.53 crore inviting bids from eligible bidders for the construction of a new broad gauge (BG) line in the Tumakuru-Rayadurga new line project in Karnataka.
The period of completion of the work is 18 months.
As per the tender, the scope of work involves a new BG line between chainage 51/500 & chainage 84/000 and the scope covers railway electrification, civil works, signal & telecommunication works, and electrical general services between Madhugiri and Madakasira.
The last date for bid submission is 08 January 2025.
