Torrent Power successfully puts into operation a 115 MW wind power facility
In the Devbhumi Dwarka, Torrent Power Limited has successfully put into operation a 115 MW wind power facility. Their wholly owned subsidiary, Torrent Solargen Limited, carried out this project.
With the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), which in turn has a back-to-back power sale deal with Haryana, Torrent Solargen has inked a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
Despite facing challenges like the Covid-19 pandemic, changes in land allocation policy, and extreme weather conditions, the project was completed successfully, the company said in a media release.
The wind turbines used for the project were supplied by GE.
With this latest addition of 115MW, Torrent Power’s installed renewable energy capacity has reached an impressive 1.18GW, while their total generation capacity now stands at 4.2GW.
