Western coalfields invites bids for mining services at MKD-I Mine

Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has invited tenders for mining services, including overburden removal and coal evacuation, at the MKD-I Open Cast Mine in the Umrer area of Maharashtra.
The project is part of WCL’s initiative to expand production capacity and enhance output efficiency through outsourcing.
The mine, located in Nagpur district, contributes significantly to the company’s annual coal production, which crossed 60 million tonnes last fiscal.
By engaging private contractors, WCL aims to improve cost efficiency and meet rising coal demand from the power and industrial sectors.
