Bhubaneswar to convert vegetable waste into Bio-CNG
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has signed an agreement to set up a facility for generating Bio-CNG from vegetable waste in the capital city. The initiative aims to convert organic waste into clean energy while addressing urban waste management challenges.
The project will help reduce landfill burden and promote sustainable waste processing.
Bio-CNG produced from such facilities can be used as an alternative fuel, contributing to emission reduction.
The initiative reflects a growing focus on circular economy practices in urban governance.
