Chatha Foods to expand capacity to 30,000 MT with two new manufacturing units
Chatha Foods Ltd has announced a capacity expansion that will increase annual throughput from roughly 7,840 MT to about 30,000 MT by January 2026 through two new manufacturing units, a move aimed at meeting rising demand across retail and institutional channels.
The scale-up will allow the company to capture greater share in value-added processed foods and stabilise per-unit costs through higher utilisation and supply-chain efficiencies.
For packaged-food players, rapid capacity expansion is often paired with wider distribution tie-ups and private-label contracts, suggesting Chatha will look to diversify sales mix alongside the capex cycle.
Execution risk will centre on commissioning timelines and procurement of feedstock at stable prices.
