Garden Reach Shipbuilders signs MoU with Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board to explore establishing shipbuilding and repair infrastructure along the state’s coast.
The collaboration aims to expand GRSE’s capacity beyond Kolkata, enabling it to support naval, coastguard and commercial vessels from the strategically significant east coast.
Andhra Pradesh’s port network and ship-repair incentives make it an attractive location for such expansion, aligning with national aims to boost domestic defence manufacturing.
Detailed project reports and land allocation will follow as the next steps to operationalise the collaboration.
