Power generation company SJVN Limited is planning a substantial capital expenditure (capex) of approximately Rs 1,200 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26).
This capex is a part of the company's aggressive strategy to accelerate the execution of its vast portfolio of projects, which includes both hydro and renewable energy initiatives.
SJVN currently has an operational capacity of over 2,000 MW, with projects under various phases of construction that are set to significantly expand its footprint in the energy sector.
The planned spending is critical to meeting the company's long-term target of expanding its capacity portfolio to over 48,800 MW, with a strong focus on renewable sources, aligning directly with India's clean energy capacity goals.
